What could possibly be better than a weekend full of shooting some of the industry’s most innovative and award winning firearms? Well the short answer is getting to do it with your friends, while watching Team Sig Sauer put on a show for you and a few thousand of your closest friends.
The first annual Sig Sauer Freedom Days took place over the weekend of may 6TH-8TH at the fabulous Ben Avery shooting facility in Phoenix, Arizona. The lineup included the opportunity to lay hands on and shoot all the latest offerings that Sig had to offer. Yes that includes their XM5 SPEAR rifle and next generation XM250 machine gun that the ARMY recently approved contracts for. Believe me when I tell you, these weapons had a crowd around them all weekend long!
There was plenty of heat in Arizona this weekend when Team Sig started showing off their skills on the shooting range as well. Fast shooting, accuracy and just incredible marksmanship is always on display with this group of fantastic shooters. Sig wasn’t the only Firearms manufacturer with guns to test at the event. Mossberg was in attendance with a booth full of their quality shotguns for everyone to try out. And if you wanted to try out some archery, Xpedition Archery Crossbows was there as well, with some of their latest offerings.
The event had a lot more to offer than just shooting, and firearms instruction. All weekend long Mike Glover and the Fieldcraft Survival guys were on hand with survival demonstrations. 511 was also on site with plenty of gear to offer and even a unique customization station. If books are your thing, then how lucky for you that Jack Carr himself was there signing autographs and taking pictures. His latest book, In The Blood, is due out later this month. Of course Black Rifle Coffee Co. was there to make sure everyone had plenty of energy throughout the event.
One of the most important reasons to attend, is to connect with fellow firearms enthusiasts. Meeting new like minded individuals, and reconnecting with friends from the past, all over a full weekend of shooting. Oh did we forget to mention the 1 million rounds of ammo Sig provided for this event? Thank you Sig!
